Claire is a registered social worker with over 15 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents and adults (ages 16+) in both English and French.
Claire is passionate about accompanying individuals on their journey toward emotional well-being and personal fulfillment. She works collaboratively with clients to address challenges and pain, while supporting them in developing healthier, more effective ways of coping and uncovering a life they value. Claire offers a warm, nonjudgmental, and hopeful therapeutic environment, tailoring therapy goals and treatment plans to each person’s unique needs.
Claire has a particular interest in supporting people dealing with:
Anxiety (e.g., excessive worry, social anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia)
Depression
Sleep disturbances
Intense or overwhelming emotions
The effects of trauma (including childhood, attachment-related, and single-incident trauma)
Relationship challenges, separation and divorce
Her approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and affirming of 2SLGBTQIA+ identities. Drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities, Claire integrates techniques from:

Inner-child and parts work, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals (EFIT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS)

In addition to in-office and virtual sessions, Claire offers walk-and-talk therapy for clients who prefer more movement and a nature-based therapeutic experience.
Claire holds a Master’s of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Major in Psychology) from the University of Ottawa. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
Before establishing her private practice in 2017, Claire led the mental health program at the Montfort Academic Family Health Team for six years, providing psychotherapy and facilitating educational groups. She also worked at the Vanier Community Service Centre, offering crisis counselling, resource navigation, and community development programming.
Committed to ongoing professional development, Claire regularly participates in clinical training and consultation to stay current with the latest research and best practices in mental health care.
When she’s not working, Claire enjoys yoga, biking, running, dancing, playing music, and spending time with her two young children.
Session Fee & Availability
Psychotherapy sessions are $190 and are often covered by extended health insurance plans for services provided by registered social workers. Payment can be made via e-transfer, credit card, cheque, or cash.
